Mick Jagger posts emotional tribute to partner L'Wren Scott

The fashion designer was found dead in her New York home yesterday.

ROLLING STONES FRONTMAN Mick Jagger has penned an emotional tribute to his lover L’Wren Scott, who was found dead in her New York apartment yesterday.

Police say no foul play was involved in the 49-year-old’s death.

The designer has been romantically linked to the musician since 2001.

She worked previously as a model before becoming a stylist to stars such as Michelle Obama and Madonna, and founded her own fashion label in 2006.

Jagger learned the news in Perth, Australia, where The Rolling Stones are currently on tour.

On his Facebook page, he wrote:

I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way.
We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves.
She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me.
I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received.
I will never forget her,
Mick
